Imagine spending a leisurely afternoon beside your own babbling brook, surrounded by nature, secluded from all.
Located on North Abbott Creek on the edge of a meadow, this is one of our most private places. The house was built by our father Red Foley, for mill workers. Our father was a lumberman and during the building of the Hungry Horse Dam one of his camps was called Quintonken.
Quin has a master bedroom with a king, a second bedroom with a full bed and one small bonus room next to the master with a single bed. The cabin has one full bath, and full laundry.
Quintonken has a bright, sunny breakfast room, cozy living room with a gas fireplace, covered porch, swing-set, large yard and special private deck on Abbott creek. Watch for brookies (small trout)! Or keep an eye out for warblers, dippers, American redstarts, scarlet tanagers, finch, nuthatches and their allies!

Great place, great location wish we had more time to explore the place and surroundings!!
The cabin is tucked away and quiet with a beautiful backyard and view. Very close to Glacier National Park!
This was a great stay. The listing was accurate, the cabin had a very well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds, and the Abbott Valley Homestead property was beautiful. Highly recommend checking out the trail over to Coram Experimental Forest, and extra points for supplying a pack-and-play for our baby. Would come back.
This place was fantastic and had everything I was looking for to make our family stay comfortable. It’s located close to Glacier that saved us a lot of unnecessary driving. Only 6 min away from a super market that had fantastic fresh produce and nearly everything you may need. The place itself has a washer and dryer, coffee maker, heat, pots and pens, cleaning supplies and a variety of spices for cooking. It’s located next to a creek where we enjoyed our morning coffee at a wooden patio. In the evenings we made some s’mores by the fire and looked at the sky full of stars. I recommend this property to anyone looking to explore Glacier and enjoy being close to nature. The host was very helpful, hospitable and responsive. Great sense of humor too! 🙂
Don’t pass this place up. Location cannot be beat. Close to Glacier, yet secluded and cozy. Gorgeous property. Seriously, do yourself a favor, stay here.
Great location, cabin and host! We'll be back.
Quintonken is a cozy cabin with a welcome atmosphere in a good location. Doyle and Rosemary were personable hosts. We would stay again for sure!
Very cute little cabin on a lovely property near the creek. Everything was clean and easy! Convenient location close to the West Glacier entrance.
You will not find a better value in a home-away-from-home than the Quintonken Cabin near Glacier Park. For a family (up to six) or for just a couple, the location, the views, the rustic and tasteful touches in and around the cabin are heart-warming and congenial. This is (to use a German word that has no exact English translation) gemutlichkeit at its best.
Forget the crowed and overpriced lodging near or in the park. This authentic homestead is what you are looking for. Quiet, spacious, special!
It is a really charming and beautiful cabin with everything you need set in a gorgeous landscape surrounded by nature, the hosts are all very nice and accommodating also definitely recommend and would love to visit again.
Awesome location close to west entrance of Glacier National Park. More seating outside than inside but isn’t that what you come to Montana for? Love the deck next to the small creek and the fire pit. Nice quiet location to come to after a long day.
This cabin is a lovely, peaceful launching point for time at Glacier. The land is beautiful, the porch is a great place to relax and the brook nearby is quite a bonus! Highly recommend!
The view from the front drive is amazing! We loved having a fire in the fire pit every evening, and if we stayed up late enough, we were rewarded with amazing stars. The bbq was fabulous, and the beds were comfortable. Everything was working and serviceable, and Canyon Foods being so close made shopping easy. It took about 20 minutes to get into the park, and the drive was lovely. The perfect location!
Booked here on a recommendation of a friend. We spent 5 days hanging out in Glacier. This spot was lovely. Communication throughout the process was excellent. The house is exactly as described, but there’s also a beautiful hidden area next to the creek for a quiet space to coffee or read. Plenty of room for a family of 4. We cooked almost every night and it’s close to grocery stores and the park and other activities. They leave a lot of info for guests about the house and other things available. It’s more beautiful than the photos show. We would definitely come back.
We liked the setting of this cabin and the covered porch which allowed us to still enjoy the outdoors even if it rained. Relatively private setting with a small stream. Nice & quiet. Easy access to Glacier National Park as well as Columbia Falls and points west.

Very relaxing place! Very quiet and peaceful, but still close enough to the west glacier park and town for anything needed. Definitely recommend!
Quintonken is a cozy cabin with a welcome atmosphere in a good location. Doyle and Rosemary were personable hosts. We would stay again for sure!
A great little cabin in the woods! Near Glacier and many other outdoor recreation. A great place to bring children and let them be outside and run!
We had a great time staying at Rosemary’s place. We loved the secluded location and rustic charm of the house. We found the place clean and they were quick to respond to our questions.
Don't hesitate ... this is a treasure. More than a cabin, the grounds include great views, flowers, a babbling brook with a private place for wine and quiet conversation. Plush towels, comfortable beds, and lightening communication adds up to a wonderful getaway.
A lovely, well-located place to stay and to explore Glacier National Park from. We were out and about most of the time but still made time to relax on the front porch, have a few evening fires, and enjoy the neighborhood hummingbirds and dogs. Rosemary was very communicative and Doyle’s family was on site at least once a day to take away garbage, water the flowers, etc. Would recommend.
Can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was and how beautiful your cabin is, it was well supplied and the landscaping, outdoor seating was great. We would recommend this to anyone going to Glacier. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience. Lisa and kids.
This is a great place to stay. It is very quiet here, we even got to see a deer and fawn walk across the lawn. Very enjoyable for us.
Fantastic location - close to Glacier National Park and adventures to be had therein, close to groceries, amenities and wine, and yet far enough away from the main roads so that you feel like you're on your own, secluded acreage. With two young boys (<2 years old) in our party, we location, found the neighbors (and their horse/dogs) to be amazing, weather cooperated and overall - couldn't have asked for more. Big BBQ dinner every night, board games and wine late into the evening...our kids slept in late each morning, spent hours running around the property, playing on the swings, the kiddie pool that the neighbour lent us, saying hello to their horse, and generally having a wonderful time. While the trip wasn't the cheapest one we've ever taken, we certainly felt that we got a wonderful experience for the money. Thank you!
This is a lovely, tranquil place to chill out and rest after a day of enjoying Glacier National Park. There's a beautiful spot by a stream to relax at.
A fantastic, little rustic cabin. It has everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. It’s close to Glacier and much more enjoyable than any hotel stay. The Foley family are great hosts. The home was very clean and their property is well kept. Our girls loved playing in the yard and the highlight of their trip may have been playing with neighborhood dogs that came by for a visit. We’ll be back!
The setting for this cabin is just wonderful -- it's secluded, on a crystal clear mountain brook - just great for a stay around the Glacier National Park area. Amenities are just a short drive away (grocery stores, restaurants, etc.). The cabin is cozy and well-equipped.
This was absolutely the best family vacation we have ever taken! Our two children and we especially loved the nature surrounding the homestead. We all have this trip a solid 10! Our comfortable and rustic stay at Quintonken was serene. From the great hospitality to the babbling brook to all the resident wildlife, it was incredible. The best part was no television and disconnecting from the world. I have never seen my family this happy. Disconnecting the wifi to the cabin would be even more ideal in my opinion. Close to everything and great access to Glacier National Park."
A great little cabin in the woods! Near Glacier and many other outdoor recreation. A great place to bring children and let them be outside and run! We loved staying at your cabin!
This was our second year in a row staying at Quin for a week. We love the relaxed vibe and the great memories we make each time we are here. Places like this are so special! Please keep up the good work
The accommodation and the location were both very good. Thank you!
We had a fantastic stay at Quintonken. It was super clean and was better than the pictures conveyed. Some may call these cabins. It felt more like staying in a nice home. Every amenity was thought of from pots and pans to washing soap for clothes. Our unit had its own washer and dryer. We felt very welcome and everyone had a great time. We hope to come back soon!
This was our third stay at Quintonken. We love its quiet location and the nearby creek adds an even more calming environment. In addition, the property is very convenient to Glacier NP, to swimming in the Hungry Horse Reservoir and to the local towns like Whitefish, Big Fork and Kalispell. The owners are very helpful; the property is clean and comfortable. We'd recommend this and their other cabins to anyone looking for a slice of Montana life.
