This cabin was clean, roomy, great yard all in an excellent location. It was perfect.

The cabin was perfect in every way. The bathrooms were fully stocked and the kitchen had all necessary tools for making enjoyable meals. We were close to markets, restaurants and best of all the entrance to Glacier. After hiking all day it was a pleasure to come back to the cabin and relax ith the family. Thank you, Doyle for a wonderful stay.

My 77 yo parents had a wonderful time and enjoyed the peace and quiet after busy days in Glacier. We all had a wonderful time.

The property was well stocked with kitchen supplies, including condiments, the furniture was comfortable, and the BBQ worked very well. The location was excellent for access to Glacier and was close to shopping and local restaurants. It was a really great stay at a very well kept and comfortable property. Also, very quiet at night.

The house was a lovely cabin not far from the park. Lots of amenities. Kitchen was well stocked, even with enough coffee supplies for the entire stay. The beds were very comfortable. Nice fluffy towels in the bathrooms.

We were a group of four adults who spent two nights at this cabin. It was an excellent stay! Very comfortable bedding and lots of nice touches, such as a cornhole game, an adult-sized tree swing, a nice propane grill and a very quiet setting. Each night we ate outside on the deck. We would definitely stay here again.!

This was a lovely, historic cabin in the woods not far from West Glacier. It is fully modern and a great place to stay for a family or someone looking for peace and solitude. This cabin would be a fantastic location for writing or meditation - a personal retreat!

We stayed in Spotted Bear Cabin. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We made good use of the patio and grill. Glacier was only a short drive away. A perfect place to unwind after a day the the park. Thank you for the amazing hospitality.

Beautiful, quiet, peaceful. Just sorry we could not stay even longer. The location is perfect and very close to the Park entrance and restaurants.

Beautiful, well kept cabin in a lovely secluded wooded area. Comfortable beds. Great kitchen and bathrooms. Five in our party for two nights. It was a terrific place to complete our trip to Glacier. We highly recommend this property. We did call for driving directions and received a response immediately.

Our family of five enjoyed our stay at this clean and comfortable cabin about 15 minutes to the West side of Glacier Park. Kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. It included great extras like a cooler, ice packs, nice towels and firewood for the fire pit, plus bear spray. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a perfect stop for my family on our visit to Glacier NP. My sons -- 13 and 16 -- always appreciate separate rooms instead of staying in hotels. An extra full bathroom was also a plus! We were able to check in and then head to the park. We visited Apgar, Lake McDonald, and hiked Trail fo the Cedars the night before our GTTSR experience. Great Stay!

This cabin had all the space we needed and was very peaceful. Close to the park and all activities.

We loved having Spotted Bear as our home base in between all th outings and events. Our stay was comfy and cozy. And we could not have asked for prettier surroundings.

We were there for a local golf tournament at Glacier View golf course. It had everything we needed and thoroughly enjoyed a campfire every evening. We would definitely recommend the Spotted Bear Cabin.

We loved our stay at the Spotted Bear cabin! It was very close to the entrance to Glacier NP and local restaurants. Cabin was clean, cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. One morning we even got to see an elk in the field next to the house!

Our group of six stayed two nights and had virtually everything we needed to get to and from our daily activities as well as take care of ourselves while at the property. Loved the remote location that is, at the same time, close to anything we needed or intended to do. Doyle was very responsive when we asked a question. We would stay here again.

The cabin was lovely, clean, and well equipped. We loved its location. Quiet and away from the busy areas without feeling too remote.

We couldn't get a reservation at Lake McDonald Lodge so we decided to look for a vacation rental near the park. We were 3 couples that had been travelling the Canadian Rockies and staying in hotels for 8 days. It was a nice break to have this wonderful cabin to stay in. We took advantage to get our laundry done and cook breakfast and dinner. The cabin was quaint, well stocked and comfortable (and half the price of Lake McDonald Lodge!!)

We just loved this comfortable, woodsy home that looked so much small online than it was in person. We had three gals traveling and we each had our own room. Kitchen was just right, a nice deck, and a lovely living room. We slept well in comfortable beds. Very convenient to Glacier Park!

Location was great! Easy access to West Glacier and great coffee at the Montana Coffee Traders shop in Columbia Falls. The house was clean and had everything we needed.

This was a perfect stay for my husband and I and our 2 dogs. We even enjoyed a fire one evening under the stars. There are quiet roads on the property that were perfect for letting our dogs get some exercise. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed.

This was a Magnificent find and perfect for our family. The setting is awesome, the hosts very helpful, and the location and proximity to Glacier and other great spots is Perfect!! We would not hesitate to revisit.

Nice, clean home with good heat; (it was 40 and rainy, then snowing during our stay). No tv but solid WiFi. Pretty and quiet location. Has some kitchen basics (as mentioned by other reviewers) but could use more silverware for enough for 4-6 people. . Spacious bedrooms. Overall, a good stay.

Spotted Bear was exactly what my wife and I were looking for. Quiet, quaint cabin feel close to GNP. Beautiful grounds that were perfect at the end of a long day of hiking in the park. The fire pit came in handy as well as the fireplace in side. Not a lot of restaurants or nightlife close by but we weren’t looking for that. Would highly recommend the Spotted Bear for those looking for a quiet, spacious and rustic stay in Montana.

What a delightful cozy cabin that is secluded and so quiet yet close to Glacier Park and Columbia Falls. We all slept like babies after hiking in the park and would have liked to have extended our stay there a couple more days, but others had booked behind us. We would definitely recommend it. Awoke to deer grazing at the back door. There is chopped wood, starter fluid and chairs for around a fire pit, large deck and barbecue with all the utensils for s’mores and more. Love Montana.

Perfect in every way!

The house was comfortable and very well equipped. It was close to all kinds of sights, and the manager was flexible and super responsive. I recommend this property to anyone that wants a great base to see this incredible environment.

We had a lovely time staying at this cabin. The location was perfect for our few days visiting the national park. The owner was easy to reach and helped start our fire place immediately after asking for some help. The cabin itself has everything you need to cook meals at home- just bring your groceries and beverages -- seasoning, kitchenware, is well stocked. Quiet and beautiful land.

This property is located in a superb location. It’s a very cute quaint comfortable house filled with all the amenities that you need. The property grounds are beautiful and it’s very close to Glacier National Park. It easily sleeps six people and it has a fire pit and a barbecue. We stayed 5 nights at the Abbott Homestead with another couple for day trips to Glacier, the Flathead River, Big Fork, and Whitefish. The house is spacious and comfortable, and the outdoor space is serene and beautiful. It was a wonderful place to return to at the end of the day. The property manager, Doyle, was very helpful with trail advice in the park. We highly recommend this place.

Our stay at Abbott Valley couldn’t have been better! Our cottage was very clean and comfortable - it was so great to have laundry on site, and we really appreciated the cans of bear spray (which we didn’t have to use!). The setting is calm and serene, and the view of the stars is stunning. We had a doe visit us multiple times, and also spotted eagles, squirrels, woodpeckers and a hummingbird. It’s an easy drive to Glacier and nice to leave the busy park and come home to the calm of Abbott Valley. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Spotted Bear Cabin. The location was convenient to the park but was nicely located away from the hustle and bustle of the Park. The beds slept great, it was clean, and the internet worked for what we needed.

Doyle was kind enough to help us with some logistics and always available by phone.

Spotted Bear was very nice, convenient to Glacier National Park and we enjoyed our stay. The outside space was very nice as well and we enjoyed sitting on the deck and relaxing. Our stay was GREAT and I would highly recommend your accommodations to anyone making the trip to that area.

Highly recommend Abbott Valley Homestead for anyone who wants to have a true Montana experience...The location is very convenient to GNP--- less than 15 minutes to the West Glacier entrance. A market, restaurants, and gift shops are only minutes away. Yet the feeling when you are in Abbott Valley is that of being very far away. The accommodations were just fine -- a complete kitchen (stove, oven, refrigerator, coffee maker and complete set of pots, pans, dishes and glassware), washer, dryer, propane BBQ, and free Wi-Fi. Beds were excellent.

right in the middle of nowhere montana. cultural shock for us southern californians. about 8 miles to glacier national park. easy drive. cell phone service not great so i recommend you rent a garman from the rental car company. good size cabin, clean, great location. you will not be disappointed.

It was just perfect for us and the whole experience was wonderful. The folks at Abbott Valley were so helpful in answering all of my questions before we even booked. The cabin is clean and charming. The beds were comfortable and many basics are provided, like hand soap, toilet paper and paper towels, salt and pepper, fully appointed kitchen, etc. We especially enjoyed having a washer/dryer and even detergent provided. The best part is the location. We were surrounded by beautiful trees, flowers, meadows, and a small creek. Thank you Doyle and AVH for a perfect week!

We have just completed spending 6 days in the Spotted Bear house. It was the perfect place to stay while we visited Glacier. It was close to the Park and it was nice getting away from the crowds of the national park & coming home to our Abbott Valley house. We especially enjoyed the side porch. Lots of room, grill, large table, nice breeze, and a lovely yard...The front porch was also good in the hottest part of the day. The kitchen was very well equipped and the house was supplied with the essentials. Doyle, the owner, was helpful & attentive. It was a pleasure staying here and I would certainly recommend this house to others!

Spotted bear cabin has everything you need plus. It's a bit off the beaten path but gives access to glacier national park and nearby Kallispell and Whitefish. Property manager was super responsive. Beds are comfortable; two bathrooms worked great; open kitchen and living area. All tastefully decorated.

We had a wonderful time staying at Spotted Bear during the western half of our visit to Glacier. The cabin is spacious, clean, nicely decorated, and included everything that we needed (and then some). We especially appreciated the deck, grill, and ample firewood. The location is hard to beat. The cabin is surrounded by tall pines and is close to a stream that we could hear from the deck, and we saw deer and a turkey in the morning. The West Glacier entrance is only 10-15 minutes away, and the small town of Hungry Horse is about 5 minutes the other way. Doyle was very helpful and friendly, and responded promptly to any questions we had prior to visiting. Spotted Bear is a great place to relax and enjoy the area.New Review

In a quiet and beautiful location away from the crowds of tourists, yet only a few minutes from the entrance to Glacier National Park, Spotted Bear Cabin is a delight. Comfortable, well-appointed and equipped, our stay was all too brief. I'd eagerly book this travelers' haven again.

Our stay was very nice. The Spotted Bear cabin was perfect; it felt like we were at home. The welcoming and the hospitality of the owners were great. We wished we could stay longer because Montana was beautiful. Definitely will recommend the Abbott Valley Homestead to our friends and family.

We stayed in several different places during our journey, which began in your Spotted Bear cabin. We stayed in other cabins, at an old lodge, then a bed & breakfast, and finally, a small roadside hotel.

Without hesitation, our family favorite was the Spotted Bear cabin! The cabin itself was just perfect. It was comfortable, nicely decorated, well-stocked, and located in a beautiful and peaceful setting. We had our meals on the deck and roasted weenies over the fire pit. The boys took a dip in the stream. We appreciated Doyle stopping by to chat, and we thank you both for the great tips on where to hike and swim in the park. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, thanks to your kindness. I have just taken a family vote, and we all give you five out of five stars.

The only minor negative aspect were the yellow jackets.

We were a group of 5 and found Spotted Bear to be a perfect fit for us. The cabin was well stocked with plenty of amenities and the cozy character of the cabin was wonderful. The quiet location and beautiful scenery couldn't be beat. We greatly enjoyed the picnic table and fire pit in the backyard and the spacious kitchen and patio. We would stay there again if ever in the area. We used it as our home base for visiting Glacier National Park and it was the ideal set up. The folks who run Abbott Valley Homestead know what they are doing and were very personable. I would highly recommend this to others looking to get away from the motel crowd, look and feel. It's a nice and simple spot to get away to while on vacation.
